2009 RECAP!!!

     Adela Garcia started the 2009 year off a little shaky after having to pull out of the 2009 Figure International because of an unhealed knee injury from the previous year.  This wouldn’t stop a much determined Adela Garcia from returning to the competitive stage.  She would work harder than ever the next 24 weeks to get ready for the 2009 Europa and Fitness Olympia.  She would go on to crush the competition at the Europa which in turn gave her the confidence to return to the Olympia stage and regain her 4th Fitness Olympia title. 

     Her accomplishments wouldn’t stop there as she would go on to win the bodybuilding.com Female Athlete of the Year Award and to top off 2009 she would be selected as one of the few chosen women to appear in the upcoming 2010 Status calendar published by World renowned photographer, T.C. Chang.  Adela Garcia will also continue her sponsorship with GNC as they have decided to resign her as a GNC athlete.  Adela Garcia says, “I am very blessed to still have the opportunity to compete at the IFBB Pro level and be competitive and have the wonderful opportunity to continue to work for such a great company like GNC.  I couldn’t have made it through a career ending injury like I did without the support of my family, GNC and of course God!  God has blessed me in so many ways and I know that with his love and support I can go on to accomplish anything that my heart desires.  Thank you all for your love and support and I hope that you will continue to support me as I plan for a bigger and better 2010 year.  I would also like to send a special thanks to my managers Debbie and J.M.
